Cotton Seed Solvent Extraction Plant
Cotton seed oil is a cooking oil which extracted from the seeds of cotton plant of various species.Cotton grown for oil extraction is one of the big four genetically modified crops grown around the world, next to soy, corn, and rapeseed (canola).
The seed itself without long fibres is still covered by short fibres called ‘lints’ adhering to the shell. They are removed in delinting, usually performed in two successive cuts.
An undelinted seed composition is about :
- 8-10% of lint
- 18-22% of oil
- 30-35% of meal
- 30-35% of hulls
Cotton Seed Extraction Plant Process
Cotton seeds need specific preparation before extraction. Cotton seeds have to be cleaned to remove foreign particles, de-linted to remove the lint’s, decorticated for removing the hard husk and the resultant meat obtained contains about 35% oil. The meal is subjected to mechanical pressing. The first portion of the oil is removed during mechanical pressing, the resultant cake with residual oil content ranging from 8 to 12% is sent for solvent extraction. The solvent extraction of pre-pressed cotton seed cake is like normal solvent extraction of any pre-pressed cake.
We produce cotton seed solvent extraction plant with the latest technology and the latest machinery and all type of fabrication as like Tanks, Filters, Condenser, Flasher, etc. Our team comprises of qualified Engineers and Technicians and backed by the well equipped workshop, where the majority of our works are carried out. We also have teams for fabrication and piping of plants in site.
